National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest, single-day volunteer effort for public
lands. More than 175,000 volunteers and park visitors celebrate the event at more
than 2,000 public land sites in all 50 states. Federal agencies as well as nonprofit organizations,
state and local governments, and businesses participate in the annual
day of caring for public lands.
A celebration at the Leopold House on Saturday, Sept 30th from 9:00am – 1:00pm,
will include a chance for volunteers to help landscape, clean up trash and put in interpretive
kiosks. Come celebrate with food, fun, music, and environmental education at
this historic landmark.
