Dayhike
San Lorenzo Canyon is on the southern boundary of the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge, about 10 miles north of Socorro. It is mostly known for its interesting geology, but also contains historical sites, cottonwood groves, springs and, sometimes, flowing water. We will hike up the canyon to the Sevilleta boundary and then head along some old roads to get an overview of the area.
