Bosque is for (Native Plant) Lovers: Planting Day in the Bosque

15Feb2025

From 9:45 am until 1:00 pm

At Albuquerque Open Space Bosque

Whether you want to celebrate by going on a date out in nature with your special someone, spending time with friends, or connecting to community, join us in the heart of our state for a planting day in the bosque! New Mexico Wild and the City of Albuquerque's Open Space are partnering to host this volunteer service project where we will learn about the flora and fauna that call this area home, and spend some time seeding native plants and treating areas affected by invasive plants if we find them (hand pulling only, no pesticides involved)!

Exact location details upcoming. We will meet at 9:45 and provide coffee and a light breakfast. There will be a short hike into the work site, and we will wrap up by 1 pm. Wear closed-toed shoes for safety since we will be using rakes and shovels. Please dress in layers to be protected from the sun and prepared for a wide range of temperatures, as the weather in the bosque is highly variable during the winter season. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. Work gloves will be available, but feel free to bring your own if you have/prefer them. All necessary tools, extra water, and snacks will be provided.

When: Saturday, February 15, from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm

To register, please fill out the form below. More details will be provided soon.
