From 9:45 am until 1:00 pm
At Albuquerque Open Space Bosque
New Mexico Wild and the City of Albuquerque's Open Space are partnering to gather members of the community for a volunteer service project restoring this special habitat. Under the guidance of our Open Space partners, we learn about the flora and fauna that call this area home, and spend some time seeding native plants and treating areas affected by invasive plants if we find them (hand pulling only, no pesticides involved)!
Exact location details upcoming. We will meet at 9:45 and provide coffee and a light breakfast. There will be a short hike into the work site, and we will wrap up by 1pm. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes for safety since we will be using rakes and shovels. Please dress in layers to be protected from the sun and prepared for a wide range of temperatures, as the weather in the bosque is highly variable during the winter season. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. Work gloves will be available, but feel free to bring your own if you have/prefer them. All necessary tools, extra water, and snacks will be provided.
When: Saturday, January 25, from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm.
To register, please fill out the form below. More details will be provided soon.
