We are excited to announce the return of our Basin-Wide Cleanup event, connecting communities from Pecos, NM to Pecos, TX, on Saturday, September 28th. The Upper Pecos Watershed Association, in partnership with local organizations and state parks, is organizing this event to unite volunteers in a collective effort to clean and preserve our beloved Pecos River and its surroundings.
Volunteers will gather at various locations along the Pecos River, including Pecos, NM, Pecos Canyon State Park, Villanueva State Park, Sumner Lake State Park, Roswell, Carlsbad, and Pecos, TX. Participants will receive cleaning supplies such as vests, gloves, and trash bags at their designated meet-up points and will be assigned specific areas along the river or road to clean.
