New Mexico Wild – Nancy Morton Wilderness Intern
This paid position will focus on the outreach and communications needs related to New Mexico Wild’s mission of protecting New Mexico’s Wilderness, Wildlife and Water. This will include conducting community outreach, social media engagement, and more.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with outreach staff, including on volunteer management and training, creation of displays and handouts for tabling events, and volunteer communications protocols
- Assist with volunteer recruitment and engagement
- Plan and staff outreach and tabling events with an emphasis on membership acquisition and community engagement
- Proactively create community outreach and membership drive opportunities
- Attend biweekly Advancement team meetings. Engage with Advancement team on a broad variety of organizational matters concerning communications, outreach, fundraising, , and stewardship
- Assist with social media video content
- Assist with graphic design projects using Canva
Desired Experience
- Managing and organizing data related to Advocacy and Outreach
- Canvassing or event outreach
- Creating social media content, including short-form video
- Graphic design and experience working with Canva
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Volunteer organizing
- Technical and creative writing skills
This is a part-time, temporary, and paid position.
