Gorgeous 1860s silk gown in beautiful brown and green earth tones. It has crochet decorative buttons down the front of the bodice but the closures are hidden hooks and eyes.
Skirt lining (buckram, I believe) is torn in several places, but it has a super interesting stamp on the fabric (see photos)! It reads "New Patent Lining 50 Inches Wide"
Boning channels sewn into the lining of bodice.
There is a deep cotton pocket on the right side of the skirt, which is anchored to the waistband.
This is a lovely piece that once was part of a museum collection and still has a numbered tag sewn into the collar of the bodice.

Overall good to fair condition for her age, but this is not a wearable piece. Best for display or study. Several tears in the skirt lining. Some small holes, discolorations throughout. Presents beautifully.
