This is the most stunning example of a mantle I've ever seen. Circa early 1890s.
The puffed shoulders and long fringe are so good. I would love to wear a modern version of this.
Hook and eye closures down the center front.
It is quite heavy and features beautiful, intricate beadwork done in thousands of glass beads of different sizes.

She's a wounded bird with a shattered silk lining, which is partially missing. She is also shedding her beads at a high rate and is very delicate. There are a few strands of beaded fringe missing.
Definitely not a wearable piece due to age and condition, but a beautiful display or study piece!
