Journey Down the Gila Film Screening in Las Cruces

Join New Mexico Wild and Heart of the Gila for a special screening of Journey Down the Gila at the Rio Grande Theater in Las Cruces. A stunning film by Albuquerque filmmaker David Garcia, four years in the making, this 90-minute documentary follows three mothers’ emotional voyage down America’s first wilderness river, honoring their teenage children who lost their lives in service to the wild, and chronicles the ongoing fight to keep the Gila free-flowing.

Stay after for a Q&A with co-producer Patrice Mutchnick of Heart of the Gila and a legislative update on the Gila Wild & Scenic bill from New Mexico Wild’s own Luke Koenig.
