Chama’s Annual Stewardship Event at Canjilon Lakes

Canjilon Lakes | Meet at the lower lake

Join the Community of Chama, the Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC), New Mexico Wild, and the Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment (MASE) for a day of stewardship and learning at the annual Canjilon Lakes event!

We’ll meet at 10am at the lower lake for a brief orientation, then spend the morning cleaning up trash across all three lakes, followed by a BBQ or cold luncheon provided by CDTC. After lunch, we’ll shift focus to a presentation and Q&A on protecting the Carson National Forest from mining impacts.

This free event is open to all community members and volunteers!

Where: Us-84 & NM-115, New Mexico, 87510 to Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground, Canjilon, NM
